The first day I walked into the little place on Lochleven Road, there was a picture of the Trevi Fountain hanging on the wall. Faded, a bit tilted—beautiful all the same. I thought, that’s it. If we’re going to cook honest Italian food for Glasgow, we’ll name it after the fountain that brings people together. We kept the picture, freshened the room, fired up the ovens—and Trevi was born.

Eight years on, my wife and I still open the doors with the same feeling: this is our home, and everyone who comes in is a guest at our table. You’ll hear the chat from regulars, a birthday chorus at the back, Hampden fans grabbing a bite before kick-off, and the clink of glasses as friends meet up for a long-overdue catch-up. That selfie with the big, smiling table? That’s what Trevi is about—community.
We keep the cooking simple and generous: dough stretched by hand, sauces simmered slow, seafood from the West Coast when it’s best, good olive oil, proper coffee. It’s Italian at heart, Glasgow by nature—warm, relaxed, no fuss, plenty on the plate.
